Professional Experience

Lagardere, MD, FACS, FASMBS, is an internationally recognized general and bariatric surgeon, pioneer in metabolic and minimally invasive surgery, with over 30 years of clinical, academic, and research experience. He serves as Director of the International Institute of Metabolic Medicine – Obesity Control Center in Tijuana, Mexico, and holds multiple excellence accreditations including JCI, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013, GHA, and recognition as a Master Surgeon in Metabolic, Bariatric, and Revisional Surgery.

Professor at UABC and other institutions since 1998; currently Head Professor of the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Fellowship at the Obesity Control Center – UABC.
Former National President of the Mexican Association of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.
